Overall she’s excellent & ready to be enjoyed by its next caretaker. Friedrich Gretsch manufactured banjos, tambourines, and drums until his death in 1895. Fresh from Mel’s private collection as its been on display mostly never leaving his music room for any gigs. Gretsch is an American company that manufactures musical instruments.The company was founded in 1883 in Brooklyn, New York by Friedrich Gretsch, a 27-year-old German immigrant, shortly after his arrival to the United States. It appears completely original & works quite well being serviced recently at the Amp Shop in W. This is the perfect amp for any studio work & light enough to move between gigs.
Its cabinet is untouched loaded with 2 matching D912 12″ speakers dated to 1966 still sporting its original fiberglass stuffing.

The 6G7 and revised 7-A circuit used the long-tail pair phase inverter introduced with the 1957 Bassman, used a solid-state rather than a tube rectifier, and also included a vibrato that is heralded as Fender's best by many enthusiasts.
